MoveWell checks the referral, DVA card type, accepted condition where relevant and any prior services in the treatment cycle.

The physiotherapist works toward agreed goals and communicates with the referrer as required during or at the end of the treatment cycle.

Common questions
Ask your GP about a referral and call MoveWell with your home suburb, Veteran Card details and movement concern. We check eligibility, the referral and appointment availability before confirming a visit.
No. A valid referral is generally required before DVA-funded physiotherapy can begin.
A White Card usually covers treatment related to accepted conditions. MoveWell checks the referral details and you can confirm eligibility with DVA.
For most clients, a cycle ends after 12 sessions or one year, whichever comes first, and a new GP referral is required for further treatment. TPI card holders and some complex-care arrangements have different rules; confirm your circumstances with DVA.
Where DVA eligibility and referral requirements are met and MoveWell accepts the referral, DVA is billed under its arrangements. We confirm this before treatment starts.
